Coordination of XBRL Spain's development, editing of the XBRL Versioning Specification 1.0, participation in the XBRL and the Semantic Web Interest Group to integrate ontologies with XBRL, and active promotion of the standard through seminars, conferences and technical internships across the region.
Results and impact
Latin America became one of the most active regions in XBRL adoption worldwide, with successful implementations in banking, financial institutions and regulators in Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. More than 10 countries in the region adopted XBRL as the standard for regulatory financial reporting.
